4 Ways to Style Hair with Bangs
Faux Waterfall Braid
We’re pretty sure that most of you have seen at least a thousand versions of this hairstyle on Tumblr, Pinterest and Instagram, some of you even attempted to copy them but just ended up with a big tangled mess. Well, today’s your lucky day! This ‘do will give you the same look with less effort.
First, you need to take a small section of your hair near your temples. Divide them into smaller sections and create a classic braid. Next, secure the plait with a hair tie. Pull your braid apart to create a loop in the middle. Take a section of your hair parallel to your braid from the top on your head and insert it into the loop of your braid. Just keep repeating the steps till you reach the end of the braid. Lastly, take the hair tie off and secure it at the back of your head with clips. Repeat these steps to the other side to even it out or just do one side… you do you, boo!
High Ponytail
This hairstyle is the perfect style if you want all the focus on your beautiful face and bangs. You can rock this look to various occasions from classes to red carpet events and different vibes from sporty to glam!
First, pull all your hair back and position your ponytail in the height of your choice. You can go as high or low as you want. Next, secure your ponytail with a hair tie. Make it sleek and tight if you’re going for a more polished look and wear it loose and tousled if you’re going for a more chill and casual vibe. Third, hide your hair band by taking a small section of hair from under your ponytail and wrapping it around the hair scrunchie. Secure the section with a bobby pin. Optional: finish it off with accessories like headbands, clips and bows.
Braided Bun
Bored of the basic messy bun? This look is for you! We advise you to have a friend help you out, not every one is blessed with fantastic braiding skills.
First, tilt your hair down and brush your hair to the front of your head. Make sure to take out all the tangles. Next, take 3 sections of hair from the nape of your neck and start braiding. Stop midway or until the part where you want your bun to sit. Third, gather the remaining hair all the hair together and tie it into a ponytail. Okay now, you can stand upright and recover from head rush! Twist your hair around the base of the ponytail and secure it with clips and hair tie! Optional: finish it off with accessories like headbands, clips and bows.
Space Buns
If you’re going for a bold and funky vibe, double buns are perfect for you! Its a great way to style hair with bangs. You can also recycle this hairstyle because the smaller buns create medium waves when you unravel them.
First, create a middle part from the top of your head till the nape of your neck. You can also stop midway if you only want to leave half of your hair down. Next, create pigtails. You can go as high or low as you want. If you want to add some extra texture and dimension to your hair, braid your ponytails. Lastly, wrap your twisted or braided hair around the base of the pigtails and secure it with clips or hair ties. You can also gently pull on your buns to make it looser and bigger. Optional: finish it off with accessories like headbands, clips and bows.
